The Bible has numerous God quotes and insights of hope that springs eternal. These quotations serve as a reminders of God’s hope of glory.

There are numerous accounts in the Bible that stand as reminders of God’s promise of hope. One of the most enduring is the story of Noah, whose family and animals God saved from the destructive flood. The appearance of a beautiful and magnificent rainbow was God’s promise of hope to Noah and his family, a sign of peace, joy and comfort.

These hope quotes from the Bible serve to motivate people to keep trying even though all seems lost. And like Job, the psalmists, and Jeremiah, hearts will remain strong when hope is surrendered to God in every turn.

Hope in God Aflame and Steadfast

Job was the ideal blessed, blameless and upright man. Satan challenged God on this and said that Job was a complete believer because he has everything life has to offer.

So God allowed Satan to test Job by stripping him off all his possessions including his family, and by giving him the worse disease that could happen. In the end, Satan remained unsuccessful.

Although God’s divine characteristics in His justice and goodness were evident, integrity was also demonstrated in Job since nothing was able to sway him to Satan’s side despite his worse sufferings.

 

Job said, “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face.” ~Job 13:15



In this verse, it clearly attests to Job’s eloquent declaration of hope and complete trust in God. And Job replied, “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God.” ~Job 19: 25-26

Hope in the Lord, a Continuous Process

The book of Psalms is known as the songs of David and the other psalmists. It’s mainly one of glorifying and trusting God in His almighty and divine powers.

 

“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” ~Psalm 31:24

 

“For you have been my hope, O Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth. From my birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.” ~Psalm 71:5-6

Hope for the Needy

The psalmist encourages God’s people to wait for God’s grace and salvation, and that He never forgets even the afflicted and the needy. The day will come when it will appear that God has not forgotten the cry of the poor and the humble.

According to the psalmist, hope in God should exist and in times of need, God will be available to help.

“But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish.” ~Psalm 9:18

Hope in Death

This quote implies an assurance of support from God, in which the wicked or the sinful people will meet death under guilt and sorrow, but the godly or the righteous will be blessed with hope from God.

Anyone familiar with the life of the prophet Jeremiah will feel his immense distress as he continuously laments in the earliest passages of the book of Lamentations.
